Each tile is finished by hand in our Knoxville studio. Artwork is slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, and rests beneath a thin glossy finish. The colour lives in the surface, not on top of it.

“Park Avenue runs nine blocks along the east edge of Central Park, under live oaks that predate the storefronts. Rollins College sits at the south end; the Morse Museum, with its Tiffany glass, sits two blocks east. The shops are independent, the cafés have sidewalk seating, and on Saturday mornings the farmers' market fills the railroad side of the park. People walk it slowly. The place, in three passes.
Park Avenue is the historic commercial street of Winter Park, Florida, a city of roughly 30,000 people that sits immediately north of Orlando. The avenue runs nine blocks along the eastern edge of Central Park, a long lawn first laid out in the 1880s when the town was platted as a winter resort for northerners. Rollins College, founded in 1885 and Florida's oldest college, anchors the south end. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, two blocks east, holds the most comprehensive Louis Comfort Tiffany collection in the world.
The Park Avenue Farmers' Market runs Saturday mornings on the west side of the railroad tracks, in the old depot building, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Morse Museum keeps short hours, closed Mondays, with free admission Friday evenings November through April. The Scenic Boat Tour leaves from Morse Boulevard at the foot of the lakes and runs hourly, threading three lakes and two canals on a one-hour loop the Wenzel family has operated since 1938. Street parking is free and metered along the avenue.
The canopy is the thing. Park Avenue keeps a continuous line of mature live oaks, many over a century old, hung with resurrection fern and Spanish moss. Winter Park's tree ordinance is among the strictest in central Florida and the city is a longtime Tree City USA designee. In a state where most commercial strips are sun-blasted parking lots, the avenue stays ten to fifteen degrees cooler under the leaves through summer. Late January brings the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, drawing roughly 350,000 people to the same blocks across one weekend.
